Description
WWII General Electric, 1942 dated calendar. Jan 1942 depicts a P-38 with the caption "Through Thin Air Miles Above The Earth By The Aid Of G.E. Turbo-Superchargers." All 12 months are intact with 12 different illustrations depicting Transportation and Industrial scenes with some leaning to National Security during the bleak years of the U.S. entering the War. All but two illustrations are attributed to artist "Walter L. Greene," with the G.E. Copyright. All dates have handwritten meteorological notations in pencil, which are barely noticeable when displayed under glass. A few pages have some chips, small missing pieces and creases along the edge or corners. The calendar measures 30 1/8" long x 16" wide. Being an aviation enthusiast I appreciated the 1st illustration depicting the iconic P-38 Fighter which was the framed centerpiece hanging in my office. ~ This item will be carefully and loosely rolled and placed in a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure a safe delivery. ~ All questions are welcome. ~ Thanks!
