  • Condition: Original printed 8 page calendar measuring 9 x 12 inches with an embossed limp leather cover. (No back cover.) Loose sheets with holes punched in top edge, no string or ribbon ties. Used. Cover chipped and frayed on edges with loss to corners. The pages are slightly darkened on the edges, first page is more acid stained from cover. Contents generally good.     Description

    We offer this original 1915 calendar for Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), a private research university in Worcester, Mass. Founded in 1865, it was one of the USA's first engineering and technology universities. Now has 14 academic depts & 50+ undergraduate & graduate degree programs in science, engineering, technology, management, social sciences,& humanities & arts. First page shows a photo lithograph of Boynton Hall the main administration of the university. The remaining 7 pages have calendars for the month (September and October are each one month, the other pages have two.) Pictures from photos of the campus, fraternities. Y.M.C.A. Cabinet members, various buildings labs, foundry, 1914 football squad, track team, the new Alumni Field, & orchestra, glee club & mandolin club.

    We offer this
    original 1915 calendar for
    Worcester Tech Now called Woprcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI),
    a private research university in Worcester, Massachusetts, focusing on the instruction and research of technical arts and applied sciences.
    Founded in 1865 in Worcester, WPI was one of the United States' first engineering and technology universities and now has 14 academic departments with over 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in science, engineering, technology, management, the social sciences, and the humanities and arts, leading to bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees

    The calendar has eight pages with an embossed leather cover. The first page has no text but shows a photo lithograph of a building, Boynton Hall the main administration of the university.   The remaining seven pages have calendars for the month (September and October are each one month, the other pages have two.) Each page has pictures from photographs; the campus, fraternities. Y.M.C.A. Cabinet members, various buildings labs, foundry, 1914 football squad, track team, the new Alumni Field, and the orchestra, glee club and mandolin club.
    The pages printed on semi gloss paper measure 9 x 12 inches.  The pages are not tied together, the string or ribbon is missing. The leather cover has embossed lettering and the crest of the school. No back cover present.
    This used calendar had some condition issues.  The leather cover is chipped and worn on the edges with some loss especially on the corners.  The first page has some acid staining on the edges from the leather cover.  The other pages do have some edge toning but not bad.  Overall the condition of  the calendar is just near good.
