Vintage Springfield Winchester-Hotchkiss M1878 Sight

Description

This is an interesting old sight, a Winchester-Hotchkiss M1878 in good condition.
The numbers from 1 through 4 are stamped on the side of the sight   (see photo)
and the scale readings on the upright have numbers from 5 through 10 stamped on it (see photo)
Mounting holes (includes two screws) distance appears to be 2 inches (see photo)
Folds flat, and when raised 'snaps' into position
Adjustment moves up and down and holds in place
