Nickel Marburg Supra 15-40X German Spotting Scope with case and Tripod.
B.NickelMarburg-Lahn were one of several well respected german manufacturers of draw tubetelescopes and other optics. In the 1960`s their `variable power’ draw tube telescopes were in many ways the forerunners of modern spotting scopes universally now used by birders and target shooters etc. This listing is for a 20-40x 40mm `SUPRA’ draw tube telescope. This is a rare example – the larger 60mm version is much more commonly found on the collectors market. This example is in very good condition externally being almost unmarked. The draw tubes move smoothly as does the `zoom’ control. The focused image is reasonably sharp. Small scratch on front lense, the leather case is in decent condition although the lid hinge is broken.
Tripod (also high quality made in germany) is included!
