Description
Semper Fi. Faithfulness of the military. “fides militum.” Probus. The coins in this hoard range Claudius Gothicus (268) to Diocletian (300). it is my estimation that the coins were hidden in fear of the terrible persecutions of Diocletian. The coins in this hoard are high grade. They are closely associated in time (32 years) and show no dirt or corrosion from having been buried. The hoard was purchased from Harlan Berk at an ANA convention in the very early 1970s.
They are guaranteed forever to be authentic Roman Imperial Coinage from approximately 268 AD to 300 AD.
