Colt original 1911A1 Slide

Description

An excellent Colt original 1911A1 slide that is full parkerized and appears to be NOS with no wear. Looks like post war, possibly a replacement barrel for a military gun?Right side has roll die marked in small letters: COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A., and the left side states: GOVERNMENT MODEL  COLT AUTOMATIC 45 CALIBER.Had correct front and rear slide and no numbers or markings on the inside of the slide. I see no wear inside or out. I think that it is a post war replacement slide, when guns after WWII were being rebuilt for the military.Check my inventory for unusual and rare gun parts and other items. I  work  hard to find unusual items, and  try to keep the price affordable. My   descriptions are what I see, good , bad, ugly, etc. when listing. Rarely do I miss something in listing.
