Colt 1911 original .45 acp slide

Description

A factory original 1911 slide, not sure of the age, possibly older commercial model of the 1911, as there are no government markings and this is 100% original too. Some surface corrosion, from long term storage but not rusted. Exterior metal is a mix of blue turning to brown. Left side states: COLT'S P.I. F.A. Mfg, HARTFORD, CT U.S.A..Comes with the firing pin, extractor and rear plate.No other markings found and all originally. Possibly a post war commercial slide used for National Match?
Exterior metal will clean up better with copper wool and oil, never use steel wool, it takes the patina and finish off. Check my inventory for unusual and rare gun parts and other items. I  work  hard to find unusual items, and  try to keep the price affordable. My   descriptions are what I see, good , bad, ugly, etc. when listing. Rarely do I miss something in listing.
