The Breakers relocated each of their three years of existence, although held the dubious honor of never having to relocate midseason. Plagued by poor facilities in Boston, the club drew huge crowds in New Orleans thanks in large part to running back Marcus Dupree, who hailed from neighboring Mississippi. Over twenty-five thousand fans attend their first game in Portland. The Breakers uniquely memorable "wave logo" helmet design followed them to each locale, as did head coach Dick Coury.
