    Description

    An amazing 1898 foldout, The Youth’s Companion Calendar that opens to 23 ¾ x 11 inches in size.  The calendar is from the Youth’s Companion that was published weekly since 1827 for families.
    The calendar is very ornate and colorful with great images of 1700’s early dress.
    There are three fold out portions of the calendar with three month shown at the bottom of each section of the calendar.  The calendar states in part
    “THE YOUTH’S COMPANION CALENDAR FOR 1898,
    BOSTON, MASS 1898,
    PERRY MASON AND CO
    1827-1898, THE YOUTH COMPANION HAS BEEN A WELCOME WEEKLY VISITORS TO FAMILIES…….A PUBLICATION SEVENTY TWO YEARS OLD”
    The cardboard calendar is 8 1/8 x 11 inches when closed and opens to 23 ¾ x 11 inches in size.  The has a tiny bend to the small top knob in the middle calendar and otherwise is in very nice condition for the 120 year age of the calendar.  There are no tears or stains and just the one very small bend at the top highest knob in the middle.
